Hailing all the way from the breathtaking maritime Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, a star was born!
The prestigious Veronica Tynes aka “LayDee Vee”, began to grace the world with her gift of voice at the tender age of 9.
It was during her young adult time that the highly blessed young Veronica began singing lead for the well received and immensely broadcasted televised production “God’s Trombone”, directed by none other than thee Walter Borden.
LayDee Vee’s esteemed performance was only the start of many breath taking spotlights.
Marching forward, LayDee Vee has illuminated the stage alongside legendary greats Cissy Houston, The Winans and The Barrett Sisters, to name a few, as a soloist with the nationally renowned Nova Scotia Mass Choir.
Her noteworthy resume doesn’t slow there! LayDee Vee’s infamous ability to rock and swoon and blow the roof off took her across the Canadian border to Washington, D.C. where once again her astounding voice lead the way at the Martin Luther King memorial, sharing the historical moment with the one and only Shirley Caesar and the late great Billy Preston.
Again, rising higher than ever expected, LayDee Vee easily secured being cast in the Halifax production of the hit stage play “Little Shop of Horrors”; performing inside the reputable Neptune Theatre.
Hard work and success continued for LayDee Vee as the front and lead singer in a groove jiving 9-piece band called ‘Profile’.
Singing her way to the top, Veronica embodies hard work, determination and the sound of our era with ease and utmost appeal.
So what outstanding Canadian diva wouldn’t be invited to sing the national anthem for the memorial cup? Yessss! LayDee Vee accomplishes this too. Go ahead and add it to the list!
It would be only a matter of time before the insatiable beauty migrated to Toronto where the red carpets were ablaze with her presence and talented tenure. Opening for exhilarating acts like Tarrus Riley, Luciano and Jimmy Reid. LayDee was blessed with the opportunity to open up for Brian McKnight at Toronto’s 2022 Summer Jerk Festival.
